I found the reading to be quite interesting. I think it is an odd yet very compassionate idea for a teacher to try to take on the role of a college student to see what it is like to better understand students. Most of the things the author writes about the first day of college are things we all had to go through here at Bloomsburg such as going to all of the meetings for orientation and getting adjusted to the dorms. At first, she did not fit in because she was older but she then found a common culture like we talk about in class by making friends with people who enjoy sports as much as she does. I do not understand how the author connected and became friends with younger people because they live two completely different worlds and it seems very strange to me.
